In modern minimally invasive surgery, precision imaging enables surgeons to see what the naked eye cannot. RT Prime manufactures a critical CNC-machined aluminum component used in advanced endoscopic fluorescence imaging systems that help surgeons perform routine laparoscopic procedures and assess tissue perfusion and blood flow in real time.

This component forms the structural and optical foundation of a light engine assembly, engineered for both visible-light and near-infrared (NIR) illumination using the imaging agent ICG (indocyanine green). The system allows clinicians to visualize biliary ducts, lymphatic pathways, and tumor margins — improving accuracy, reducing surgical risk, and enabling faster patient recovery.

Manufactured from 6061-T6aluminum with chromate conversion coating per MIL-DTL-5541F Type II, Class 3, the part demands extremely tight tolerances and a flawless surface finish to protect optical alignment and NIR performance

. RT Prime applies a 100%inspection protocol, including:

  • Coordinate     Measuring Machine (CMM) probe scanning and dimensional analysis
  • X-ray     fluorescence (XRF) scanning for elemental verification
  • RoHS     and REACH compliance testing for material and coating validation

Each part undergoes precision deburring, ultrasonic cleaning, and individual packaging to prevent contamination in sterile assembly environments.

By combining meticulous quality assurance with advanced CNC capability, RT Prime helps leading medical technology companies bring next-generation fluorescence imaging to operating rooms worldwide — where clarity can mean the difference between ordinary and extraordinary outcomes.
